Outreach Coordinator/Policy Analyst, Vancouver or Toronto

Activities:

The Fraser Institute has an opening for an Outreach Coordinator/Policy Analyst in its Vancouver (preferably) or Toronto office.  This position offers a considerable opportunity to contribute to the Institute’s international out-reach programs and research.

Role & Responsibilities

This full-time position requires someone with well-developed organizational, communication, and data analysis skills.  Reporting to the Director of Globalization Studies, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Replicating and updating annual studies of select issues in economic freedom and other international studies.
  • Assisting our international partners in holding joint international meetings and other international events.
  • Gathering, storing, and organizing quantitative data to support research projects.
  • Conducting literature reviews and preparing summaries of the findings for internal use.
  • Participating in other institutional activities involving annual planning, seminars, policy briefings, events, meetings, etc.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have these preferred qualifications and experiences:

  • Master’s level degree;
  • Specialization in economics, political science, international relations, or related field;
  • Good administrative, communication and diplomatic skills;
  • Experience with applied economics or public policy analysis;
  • Skill in data storage and manipulation;
  • Mature, responsible, ambitious and intellectually curious;
  • Skills in other languages, particularly Arabic or Spanish, an asset but not a requirement.
Duration: Full-time
Salary: Remuneration, including an attractive benefits package, is commensurate with experience.
