The Fraser Institute is proud to announce that, starting February 1st, Econ Journal Watch—a web-based triannual journal and podcast—will be joining the Institute.

Led by George Mason University’s Dan Klein, Econ Journal Watch has provided an outlet for pointed, constructive criticism of professional economics for 15 years, and continues to welcome submissions that challenge articles and arguments appearing in economic journals. Nine Nobel laureates have lent their names to the journal’s advisory council.

“Econ Journal Watch provides a much needed voice that broadens the discussion in economics, and we’re proud to have such a prestigious project associated with the Fraser Institute,” said Jason Clemens, Fraser Institute executive vice-president.

Dan Klein, Professor of Economics and JIN Chair at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center is also joining the Institute as a Senior Fellow.

The Fraser Institute is an independent Canadian public policy research and educational organization with offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal and ties to a global network of think-tanks in 87 countries. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for Canadians, their families and future generations by studying, measuring and broadly communicating the effects of government policies, entrepreneurship and choice on their well-being.
