John R. Graham

John R. Graham is the Director of Health Care Studies at the San Francisco-based Pacific Research Institute and Executive Director of The Benjamin Rush Society. Previously, he was Director of Health and Pharmaceutical Research with the Fraser Institute where he authored or co-authored numerous articles and papers on a variety of topics including, prescription drug regulation, managing public drug benefit programs, pricing medicines, and the re-importation of prescription drugs from Canada into the United States. He has also written numerous articles on intellectual property law, financing of hospitals, medical savings accounts, and other aspects of health policy.  His articles have appeared in newspapers across North America including the Globe & Mail, National Post, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.  He also regularly contributes to a number of blogs which are aggregated at Free American Health Care. Mr. Graham speaks frequently on health care reform on radio and television, and at conferences in the United States, Canada, and Europe.  As well as being a Senior Fellow at the Fraser Institute, Mr. Graham is a Senior Fellow of the National Center for Policy Analysis, an Adjunct Scholar of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, and a member of the Board of Visitors of the Benjamin Rush Society of medical students and physicians.  Mr. Graham received his M.B.A. from the London Business School (England) and his B.A. (with Honors) in economics and commerce from the Royal Military College of Canada.  He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA Charterholder) and is an affiliate member of the CFA Society of San Francisco, having completed all three levels of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program.
