Norma Kozhaya is an economist at the Montreal Economic Institute (MEI), where she analyzes tax issues, labour regulations, and health-care and educational systems. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Montreal, where she focused on international macro-economics and public finance. Her dissertation examined the effects of taxation and public spending on international economic models. She contributed to the research work in the department as well as in the Centre de recherche de développement en économique (CRDE). Ms Kozhaya also lectures for the University of Montreal's department of Economics.
