Dean Lueck is the Bartley P. Cardon Professor of
Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of
Arizona. He also has courtesy appointments in the Department of
Economics in the Eller College of Management and in the Rogers
College of Law, and is co-director of the Program on Economics,
Law and the Environment. He has conducted extensive research in
law and contract economics with emphasis on agriculture and
natural resource applications. His current research projects
include agricultural land contracts, the economics of
conservation easements, the economic function and effects of
property law, the domestication of wild animals, and the
behaviour of state wildlife agencies. He serves on the Board of
Directors of the International Society for New Institutional
Economics.
