Program guidelines:
  • The travel bursary program is open to students between the ages of 17 - 30 who are currently enrolled in Grade 12, college, and university, who reside in British Columbia, outside of the Lower Mainland, Victoria, and Kelowna area (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, etc.).
  • Application deadline is Monday, December 16, 2013 (5:00 pm PST).
  • All applicants that apply for the winter travel bursary will be notified by January 10, 2014.
  • Students will be selected by Fraser Institute staff.
  • Student participants must commit to attend all aspects of the student seminar and travel program, including meals.
  • Student participants must write a brief summary about their experience following the event.
  • Failure to fulfill any of the program requirements will result in disqualification from the program, and invoicing for the cost of the travel bursary.
  • Students are personally responsible to get themselves to the airport on time to make their flights. The Fraser Institute will pay for additional fares due to extenuating circumstances, but will not pay for missed flights.
  • The approximate value of this travel bursary is $1,200.
