    The Fraser Institute offers a limited number of Travel Bursaries to cover transportation and accommodation costs for students wanting to attend an Explore Public Policy Issues student seminar in Vancouver.

    If you are passionate about the economy, business, and critical issues of the day, join other students from across BC and listen to community and business leaders address important public policy issues. Enjoy a challenging and inspiring day of discussion and inquiry while networking with like-minded individuals.

    Bursary Includes:

    • Airfare from the closest major BC airport to Vancouver
    • Return transportation from airport to conference hotel
    • Shared hotel accommodation on Friday and Saturday nights
    • Attendance at the Explore Public Policy Issues seminar on Saturday
    • Saturday morning breakfast, breaks, lunch and reception with speakers


    • You must be a student between the ages of 17 and 30 and currently enrolled in Grade 12, college, or university
    • You must be a resident of British Columbia that lives outside of the Lower Mainland, Victoria, or the Kelowna area (from Vernon to Penticton)
    • If you are under 18, you must have a parent/guardian sign a consent form
    • Application deadline is Monday, December 16, 2013 (5:00 pm PST)
    • All applicants that apply for the travel bursary will be notified by January 10, 2014.

    Please note that students are personally responsible to get themselves to the airport on time to make their flights. The Fraser Institute will pay for additional fares due to extenuating circumstances, but will not pay for missed flights.
