Hone your economic reporting skills

A greater understanding of economics will help you write about Canadian and world issues with more clarity and confidence.

Many of today’s issues, including immigration, the environment and healthcare, have economic implications. Improving your own understanding of economics makes your job easier. You will be that much more adept at analyzing the policies put forward by politicians and advocacy groups, and the public’s responses to these policies.

With this end in mind, The Fraser Institute has created free seminars designed for the specific needs of journalists. The program is not intended to 'convert' or 'indoctrinate' participants but rather to allow them to engage in a forum of learning, questioning and critical analysis.
