Travel Bursary Program

The Fraser Institute offers a limited number of Travel Bursaries to cover transportation and accommodation costs for students based in Northern Ontario to attend an Explore Public Policy Issues student seminar in Toronto. If you are passionate about the economy, business, and critical issues of the day, join other students from across Ontario and listen to academics, community and business leaders address important public policy issues. Enjoy a challenging and inspiring day of discussion and inquiry while networking with students from across Ontario.

2020 Travel Bursary:

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, in person programming has been suspended. In the meantime, check out our Explore Public Policy Webinars.

Bursary Includes:

  • Transportation from your university to Toronto
  • Shared hotel accommodation on Friday and Saturday night
  • Attendance to the Explore Public Policy Issues seminar on Saturday
  • Friday evening reception, Saturday morning breakfast, breaks, lunch and reception with speakers

Eligibility:

  • You must be a student between the ages of 17 and 30 and currently enrolled in college, or university.
  • You must be a resident of Northern Ontario.
  • If you are under 18, you must have a parent/guardian sign a consent form.
