About the Event
The Fraser Institute Founders’ Award, in recognition of its founders T. Patrick Boyle and Michael A. Walker, is the Institute’s highest honour. The award is presented annually to individuals in recognition of their exceptional entrepreneurial achievements, generous philanthropic endeavours and dedication to competitive markets. Past recipients include iconic Albertans such as the Shaw Family, Jay Westman, Al Monaco, the Wheaton Family, Michael Tims, Mac Van Wielingen, Fred Mannix, Ron Mannix, Clive Beddoe, Nancy Southern, Clay Riddell, Hal Kvisle, Allan Markin, Gwyn Morgan, the late Premier Ralph Klein and the late Harley Hotchkiss. In 2016, we were pleased to honour Premier Brad Wall for his significant contributions to Western Canada while he was the sitting Premier of Saskatchewan.
Very few Calgarians have had a greater impact on the Canadian energy industry than Mike Rose and we are extremely honoured to be able to recognize his tremendous contributions to our country. Calgarians have been very generous with their support of our dinner honouring Mike Rose, and we’re pleased to share that the 2023 Founders’ Award Dinner is sold out. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Elizabeth Pratt who would be happy to help should capacity become available.
