About the Event
How do superheroes affect economics? In this workshop you will explore how superheroes and their adventures can demonstrate strong examples of economic concepts. By using examples of superheroes from all over the superhero universe, including Spider-Man, Deadpool, Incredibles, and more, you will be able to break down complex economic concepts in an innovative and creative way. Exploring video clips from movies, shows and comics, you can create engagement in economic topics such as opportunity cost, comparative advantage & economic growth.
This workshop will cover a selection of the lessons included in the ten-part lesson plan set that you will be able to take home with you to facilitate with your class. During this in-person presentation, you will be able to engage in live activities and discussions with your colleagues and the workshop facilitator. The lesson plan set will be available in both a physical booklet as well as online, downloadable files.
