Patrice Dutil

Patrice Dutil is Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Ryerson University in Toronto. He has worked as a government policy advisor, a non-profit organization executive, a television producer, and a magazine editor. He is currently the President of the Champlain Society ( and the editor of Canadian Government Executive magazine. He was the founder and editor (1991-1996) of The Literary Review of Canada. His main research interests are political and public sector leadership, institutionalism, governance, and the policy development process. He has published seven books, and regularly contributes to scholarly journals.
