Travel Bursary Program

The Fraser Institute offers a limited number of travel bursaries to cover transportation and accommodation costs for BC students outside of the Lower Mainland wanting to attend an Explore Public Policy Issues post-secondary student seminar in downtown Vancouver. If you are interested in public policy, the economy, politics, business, and critical issues of the day, apply today to enjoy a challenging and inspiring day of discussion and inquiry while networking with like-minded students from across British Columbia.

Bursary Includes:

  • Airfare from the closest major BC airport to Vancouver
  • Stipend for return transportation from airport to conference hotel
  • Shared hotel accommodation on Friday and Saturday night
  • Attendance at the Explore Public Policy Issues seminar on Saturday
  • Saturday morning breakfast, breaks, and lunch, and post-seminar networking reception with speakers and Fraser Institute staff

Eligibility:

  • You must be a student between the ages of 19 and 30 on the date of the seminar and currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.
  • You must reside in British Columbia but outside of the Lower Mainland.

Thank you for your interest in the Travel Bursary program! The application period for the November 2023 cohort has now passed. We will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis for the March 2024 Travel Bursary program. Should a spot become available in November 2023, new applicants may be admitted.
